Digital Rewards Up Against Proximity and Influencer Marketing in Startup Challenge
Posted on October 17, 2012 in Articles
In a not-to-be-missed showdown, this November at ad:tech NYC, digital rewards marketing is going head to head with proximity and influencer marketing.
The competition, sponsored by GAP, is a shopper marketing challenge to discover which promising startup has the breakthrough technology ready to bridge the divide between digital marketing and real, in-store purchases. Scheduled for Wednesday, Nov 7th, during the Startup Spotlight at ad:tech, four companies will present specific marketing solutions proposals to the GAP judges. Two of the companies have a proximity or location based approach, one hinges its solution on identifying influencers through the social graph, and the last — Ifeelgoods — will present the power of digital rewards. Although there are several elements of the judging criteria, and all of these approaches can be effective given various marketing objectives, GAP is specifically looking for an actionable solution to bring high-value consumers through the path to purchase and drive new in-store purchase activity. If you’ll be in New York for the conference, don’t miss this session! It promises to be not only an exciting contrast demonstrating how very different technologies can address the same marketing problem, but also an interesting insight into the “state of the art” for emerging marketing tech.
